I am from Hong Kong and I aspire to make a social and environmental impact through entrepreneurship and innovation. I have experience working in financial services and commercial real estate. I treasure every opportunity and strive to learn the most I can in time. I rediscovered my passion for filmmaking with the intent to speak truth and provoke thoughts. I love to make friends, create and think outside of the box. The quote from Spider Man film, “With great power comes great responsibility.” is my attitude towards life and career.
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Hong Kong. I came to San Francisco since 2011 for high school. I earned my Masters degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in August 2019 and Bachelors Degree in May 2018. Currently pursuing studies in Motion Pictures and Television at Academy of Art University. I worked as a market research analyst at Sanuk Mak and market research intern at Kidder Matthews. Seeing the differences have inspired me to become the bridge to combine the best of the east and west.

I conducted research on the most profitable Central Valley agricultural commodities for a client from China. I also helped set up international conference calls with Hong Kong for a real estate investment project. I translated information sent from China into English for my supervisors. I also went on field trips to various wineries in Sonoma (i.e. Francis Ford Coppola Winery) for an upcoming inter-industry collaboration with China.

I have built online presence for Glow Home, a handmade furniture store founded by Cody Schweickhardt which produces high quality handmade furniture. The objective is to create a website through Wix and an online presence for this store, creating the potential to buy online, thereby expanding potential sales and exposure via social media marketing strategies. We have set up a Facebook Shop and Instagram Page to showcase our products with prices to direct more traffic back to our website. We are actively promoting on social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) to reach more potential customers to get more sales.

This white paper will act as a guide to college students and fresh graduates in applying resource based theory on oneself and startup companies that one wants to work for. The resource based theory will help analyze oneself and companies with the criteria (rare, valuable, hard to replicate, hard to substitute) to enhance one's competitive advantage and to optimize resources that one has. The criteria can also be applied to one's dream companies and see if this company is the right fit.
